About the Journal
The Latin American Journal of Sedimentology and Basin Analysis (LAJSBA) is the official publication of the Argentinean Association of Sedimentology (AAS). Formerly AAS Revista, it has been published uninterruptedly since 1994. The numbers of the AAS Revista published between 1994 and 2004 are available on the SciELO-Argentina website.
The fundamental aim of the LAJSBA is to publish original research papers, reviews and technical notes dealing with all aspects of the sedimentology, sedimentary rocks, sediment dynamics and related disciplines such as basin analysis, stratigraphy, paleoecology, paleogeography, etc. that provide a timely contribution to the advance in this field of the Earth Sciences.
LAJSBA is published twice a year, in July and December. Official languages of the journal are Spanish, Portuguese and English. However, taking into account the future expansion of the LAJSBA we will consider favorably those papers submitted in English.

LAJSBA is an open access journal, which means that all of its content is available free of charge to the readers and institutions. The full texts of the scientific articles published in this journal are available in the Archives section. LAJSBA provides open and immediate access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
